Clearwater Beach

We are going to Clearwater Beach in August. Has anyone stayed at a nice hotel/resort on the beach? I am looking at all of the places and feeling quite overwhelmed! Help!

Re: Clearwater Beach

Spent many a night sleeping on Clearwater Beach in the 50's. I couldn't afford a hotel in those days.

Re: Clearwater Beach

Yes I lived very near there.
The Adams Mark is very nice !
Its right on the Gulf & they have a great outdoor buffet on Sundays, theres a pool & bar & band out there.
Listen I lived there for a long time and know the restaurants & places of interest.
If you like I can gather up a few things to shoot over to you....I dont mind I do it all the time when people tell me theyre going down there.
Just say the word ok ?

Re: Clearwater Beach

Just my husband and I are going. No art...he would fall asleep...I would love it though. He is more of a steak person and burgers...not seafood for him...but I love it. (He sounds like a wet blanket...doesn't he?)

Budget is wide open. I mean...we don't have millions...but we are only staying for a few days...so we can splurge. The jet ski idea sounds good. Matt is freaked about shark attacks though...don't know if I can drag him out there. (I promise...he really isn't a wet blanket!) Oh...we love music...any kind of music we love!

Re: Clearwater Beach

Okee dokee Im going to pm you a few things and one nice restaurant. You can usually get steak wherever you get seafood so there should be no arguments there. Im sending some of the best beaches and Ill give you the address for the Dali museum its world class.....he can handle 2 hrs ! Ill send more as I think of it.
This is fun !
