And now Nepal?

The terrorist execution of a dozen workers from Nepal makes no strategic sense. Why do they want to alienate Third World countries? It's a senseless slaughter and I just don't get it.

Here's a link.

This is just sad. There was no reason to kill them.

Re: And now Nepal?

There seems to be a new Muslim militia group spring up every day. A lot of them just seem to be psychotic killers with no real support from any state or Muslim leaders.

I wonder what's going to happen to those French journalists. They probably think they're doomed.

Re: And now Nepal?

They may or may not be doomed. It really depends on whether the group that have taken them hostage are part of global jihad or just another Muslim group trying to threaten the west but with a sense of conscience.

Hopefully it's the latter and they haven't yet lost all sense of humanity and righteousness. Military targets in Iraq are one thing, journalists are another. All they're doing by indiscrimitely butchering the innocent people of a certain nation is declaring war on that nation as a whole.

If they kill these journalists, I couldn't really blame France for sending troops to Iraq to hunt down their killers.

I hope not,for the Muslim Community in France. Jean le Penn, the French Nationalist has said before that five million muslims in France must go back to whence they came,Iran,Iraq and Libya. If the terrorists do kill the journalists, then we will see a backlash.

Re: And now Nepal?

Thousands of protesters have ransacked a mosque and clashed with police in Kathmandu to vent their rage over the killing of 12 Nepalese captives by an Iraqi group.

"We want revenge," demonstrators shouted as they stormed the Jama mosque - the only one in the Nepalese capital - on Wednesday. They broke windows and set fire to carpets, furniture and parts of the building, which was empty at the time.

Police fired tear gas in an unsuccessful attempt to disperse the crowd on Wednesday.

The government has clamped an indefinite curfew in a bid to stem the unrest and declared a national day of mourning on Thursday for the victims of the worst hostage killing in Iraq since the US-led occupation.

In other parts of the capital, protesters blamed the government for not doing enough to secure the release of the 12 Nepalese contract workers, who were slain by their captors.

The angry protesters stoned buildings and blocked traffic by burning tyres on main intersections.

Re: And now Nepal?

I hear daily here that, not all muslims are terrorists or even supporters of these extremists. But when 9/11 was first aired on the BBC and our own tv station. There was not one person from the middle east to be seen in Dublin on our streets. Then, after awhile when the British,US and other countries started picking up many of their supporters ect. Many of them were out on the streets shouting
Death to America.
