Lots of rousing convention speeches tonight, especially from the turn coat, redneck, born again Republican / Democrat Senator from Georgia who would have Americans believe that all Democrats are spineless cowards willing to cave to the terrrorist threat.

It's a very well staged event with the biggest applause lines being war related or in response to Republicans claiming the moral high ground.

Contrary to what's been said about us tonight, we Democrats actually do know something about courage, faith, patriotism, the work ethic, and especially the American dream, something the Republicans think they invented. In November we're going to put those virtues and aspirations to work in rebuilding a nation that has been devasted by "compassionate conservatism" and we're going to show the world that Democrats know how to effectively combat terrorism *and* its root causes.

George Bush was right when he admitted that he isn't going to win the war on terrorism and he isn't going to win this election. I am counting the days.

I'm not going to vote to give another four years to an administration that sent our economy and health system to hell in a handbasket. I'm not going to vote for an administration that has done nothing for the education system.

I don't know Kerry's plan for Iraq and the Middle East, (can someone please tell me), but I'm not going to put my trust in the Bush administration for another four years.

We Democrats aren't the "cowards" and "girly men" that the people at the Republican National Convention seem to think. Come November, I'm going to vote for Kerry.
