Did the Russians blow it?
It's easy to be a Monday morning quarter back but I don't think the Russians are very good at the science of hostage negotiation.
My heart goes out to the parents and families who lost children and other loved ones in the school assault. And I think we can now look forward to even more cooperation with Russia in the war on world wide terrorism. |

Re: Did the Russians blow it?
The story being circulted is that several of the children tried to escape and were shot dead by their captors. The Russian forces retaliated and tried to overthrow them. It was a pretty natural reaction given the circumstances. The Spetsnatz are no SAS but they try their best considering they're not nearly as well trained.
Taking hundreds of little kids hostage and butchering them. Hmmm. I am no advoctae of GW Bush but his emphatic War on Terror is something that is gaining my growing support. Maybe four more years will help rid the world of this scourge. It certainly won't be much good for the ordinary American, whether they know it or not, but hey what do I care? I don't live there. |

Re: Did the Russians blow it?
It's easy to for Dubya to talk about how courageous he is in the war on terrorism when he's surrounded by an army of body guards.
Whether you believe his stories or not John Kerry undeniably served in one of the most dangerous missions in Viet nam and he's more than capapble of leading us in the war on terrorism. Another four years of Bush will only bring us MORE terrorism. |
