Thanks BC - that will be my SIL in 3 weeks - it also shows the people side of war. These are the men we know and love close to our hearts.

Mural Found in Iraq

In the circle it says, "Saddam Hussein, President of Iraq."

Along the bottom it says, "May God preserve Iraq and Saddam."

The Twin Towers being hit says a lot about how he felt when we were hit....

Re: pics they never show

Darn it... tears....

Ive been to many countries as a soldier on the gound and you never know how you will be greated by non combatants in the areas I've been, its ranged from total detest to out and out..."lets kill the fattest pig and have a feast to honor the soldiers who fight for us"...

As a soldier I never lost sight of the innocent people who just happen to be the unlucky ones to be born into a country with a bad leader or leaders... or who are caught in the middle of someplace two armies meet.

I do know this that in every culture theres a inate sense of right and wrong and it can be seen both in the eyes of the opressed victims and in the eyes of their oppressors.

As a US troop, I did way more humanitarian missions than combat missions.

God bless each of our service men over there and throughout the world with the wisdom to know the difference between the oppressed and the opressors, and the ability to save and help the opressed and to destroy and eliminate the opressors.
