| Amber Alert Forum The AMBER Alert System began in 1996 when Dallas-Fort Worth broadcasters teamed with local police to develop an early warning system to help find abducted children. AMBER stands for America's Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response and was created as a legacy to 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, who was kidnaped while riding her bicycle in Arlington, Texas, and then brutally murdered. Other states and communities soon set up their own AMBER plans as the idea was adopted across the nation. |

Iowa Amber Alert
Amber Alert Issued for 1 Year Old Iowa Girl
Posted: Sunday October 10, 2005 11:36 PM CT The state of Iowa and the Davenport Police Department has issued the Amber Alert early Monday Morning after the girl was abducted from her home. Arisbeth Alexandria Tapia , 1 year old. She is Hispanic. She has short Light, Brown Hair and brown Eyes. She was last seen wearing White Tee Shirt, Blue Jean Trousers, White Shoes, and Pink Socks. The suspect in this abduction is Juan Tapia, 23 Year Old Hispanic Male, with a Shaved Head and Brown Eyes. Tapia is known to be armed and dangerous. The vehicle in this abduction is a Gold 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage, unknown Illinois plates. Anyone with information is asked to call the Davenport Police Department at 563-326-6125 or dial 911.
