Beautiful Birds
i found this photo of an albino peacock, and was so amazed by its ethereal beauty! do you have some favorite species of birds? pics?

Beautiful plumage .

Actually its quite stunning. I watched a re-run of a David Attenborough documentary about the Lyre bird. It could imitate absolutely anything including the chain saws of the woodmen in the distance

I think LCs probably posted the most beautiful picture...but i love these mandarin ducks...they look as if the colours have been painted on them.

Bez, I don't know if it's the same bird, (it sure looks like it) but we have one in parts of the country here that looks just like that called a "wood duck." And I am getting ready for work, so I don't have time to get you a pic.

Bez and Chonsi, both pictures are gorgeous! some birds are certainly nature's art works. and why is the male usually the prettiest? not fair!
