What a shame. What a flippin' waste.
My first thoughts on reading about a shark caught in Ireland.

Re: What a shame. What a flippin' waste.
I saw this also Bill and was so annoyed. I don't know if you've watched the fabulous Robson Green goes fishing series? He was catching the most ginormous cat fish in Spain and great care was taken with them to get them back in the water. Mr O has been fishing almost all his life and goes for the big uns but the truth is, he actually dreads catching a biggun because as he says, it is an enormous responsibility to land safely and get back in the water without damaging the fish.
I just don't understand why these dickheads can't just pose for a quick snap and then release the shark or fish.

Hell I fish all the time and keep a good lot of them for eating. It amazes me when everyone gets holier than thou about animals being eaten and the same people eat meat, fish and chicken. ![]()

Yes, your absolutely right.... I'm a hypocritical vegetarian. Most people are. I just think that when a magnificent beast as that has lived life to that size, it is a pointless exercise to kill it.
