I don't know "Coolio's" credentials.

*Edit* I know who he is, but I don't know his credentials.

Anyone who can talk to schoolkids the way Gangsta's Paradise did is capable of making a difference.

They say I got to learn but nobody's here to teach me, if they can't understand it, how can they reach me? I guess they can't, I guess they won't. You remember the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives? Rip out the bit that siphons government money into Church Outreach programs and the remaining bits might make a difference on the street It needs someone identifiable like Coolio to give focus and visibility to that sort of organization.

He isn't black. I don't think he's going to allow himself to be pidgeon holed either.

I've always known Coolio to be very active when it comes to fighting the adversities he's faced but I feel much more comfortable in seeing his credentials before I were to trust him with anything above being in charge of the local Boys & Girls Clubs of America.(From which I grew up playing basketball in)...Without giving respect to your average college degree of course...

The man has integrity though I'll give him that.

I think we've just witnessed history and I'm absolutely ecstatic, and I think it couldn't have come at a better time.

I also think what's happened will give hope to not just the youth of minorities but minority families altogether and will serve as a statement that will help to rid the ideology of young minorities to something more honorable. I applaud the man.

Re: Election updates.

I think it is a big step in history but not a big change.

I have misgivings but America as we know it the last 8 years has to change. It was the most ****ed up time I have ever seen.

Bush and his junta WAS the worst America has ever seen.

Well, we'll see.

For the record, I can't imagine a US President doing as such an abysmal job as George W. Bush has within what I'd guess to be the next 20 years.

I only want to see one more thing out of that crooked criminal White House and that's George W Bush's presidential pardons as he goes out of the door. It ought to make interesting reading.

Re: Election updates.

Its a wonderful validation of American democracy and the ability of Americans to re-invent themselves. I hope that the new President can bring change to the direction of the US and the West and I am sure he will.

The next problem is Europe, the recession is going to hit here now, and the political fall-out is going to be very serious across the continent. Lots of unemployed, angry Europeans, and they are going to want someone to blame.

America is lucky in that the right candidate has come at the right time to at least take some of the politcal strain. In Europe of course such things are not possible, as its not a single nation, and of course we have form from our dark past in what can happen politically because of repercussion of severe depressions, I hope that the recession we are starting to experience doesn't turn into a depression, but it may, and I hope that politcally things don't become too unstable in European countries.

I've always thought about the European Union and how Europe, as a whole, I do believe has sort of the same not only political structures but ideologies as well, and can't help but wonder if it's at all too far of a delusion to think that all of Europe may unite under one flag...

If not at least soon how soon do you(All) think such a breakthrough would take place?...
