Tories propose benifit overhaul..

Daily Express | UK News :: Tories to make the UK work

I don't see anything I have read where they are targeting the bone Idle.
It's all very well talking about folk who have lost their jobs, but I don't think It is those who need targeting. Most folk losing their job to redundancy want to work. It Is the reckless and bone Idle that need bringing to task.

I would like to see food vouchers replaced for cash where there is evidence folks are buying booze and Ciggs before food and Utility bills for their children.

More Government reward for companies offering youth training schemes and apprenticships.

Mothers and Unemployed teenagers who's children are at school all day, having to work unpaid in the community in return for benifit hand-outs.

Any more suggestions?

Yes, Income support is needed to top up low paid wages to the National Level.

I myself would also like to see child benifit means tested. I don't see why some-one who employs a Gardener, a nanny and a cleaner should be drawing child benifit along with the single mum struggling on a minimum wage

well yes ,, maybe if its not really needed then the money could be better spent elsewhere. The only thing about means testing is though there has to be a limit,, an amount where thats it you dont qualify,,, then it always seems a bit crappy for the one who is one pound over the top

Yes, I think a bracket of earnings rather than a rigid cut off point.

Re: Tories propose benifit overhaul..

Maybe we should alter the MP's benefit structure so it's not worthwhile for them to fiddle their expenses. Jail time springs to mind. with some of them it's been quite blatant tax fraud. How in all conscience can they criticise anyone playing the benefit system when they have been doing exactly the same kind of thing with the expenses system. It beggars belief

Have you seen the new report on MP's expenses? From what I've seen, there is still room for abuse.
I agree with you considering Benifit cheats are prosecuted and often Jailed. We should expect the same for the MP's.

It's the double standards that get me. They play the system it's not their fault and they are keeping within the letter of the rules if not the spirit. If a benefit cheat does it he's a major criminal bankrupting the country-them and single mothers are ruining us all. Funny how single fathers are coping with a difficult situation but single mothers are scrounging wastrels that should have kept their legs crossed.

I'd love to see these bastards explaining to a recent war widow that they are now part of the benefit scrounging underclass that will be the ruination of us all.

I've got to stop posting for a while I think. I have an overwhelming to go out and beat the **** out of an MP.

Re: Tories propose benifit overhaul..

Remember those childhood rhymes you used to have for guy fawkes to the tune of my darling Clementine you know- build a bonfire build a bonfire put the teacher on the top?

how about a contemporary one?

Build a bonfire
Build a bonfire
Put New Labour on the top
Put the Tories in the middle
and burn the blooming lot

Or maybe you never harboured thoughts of setting fire to your the school
