What movies have you seen lately?
We watched 'The Hunting Party' with Richard Gere last night, really good it was, and some parts of it are true....it's based on a war story, he and his best friend were journalists... this movie was released in 2007.
also watched 'Hancock' with Will Smith.....was oh so funny until it got mushy! -he made an awesome drunk superhero! ![]() -no idea when this one was released, disc never said! ![]() -cold weather has started, so were now back renting movies. - which ones have you seen and would recommend? |

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
Went to the cinema in the week and saw Mamma Mia.
Im not big on musicals but this was fantastic. A real feel good film, I danced and sang in the aisle ![]() Nobody wanted to leave the cinema, everyone had big smiles on their faces and I bet they all sang the songs on the way home like we did. One thing was everytime I saw Meryl Streep who plays Donna, I was reminded of Aussie Pam, she just fit Donna's fun persona... ![]() |

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
I am hopefully going to see "Secret Life of Bees" if it's not gone by then this week and also have "Walkabout" an Aussie story.

Re: What movies have you seen lately?
I watched what I absolutely guarantee is the greatest clunker of all time. If film-making continues another thousand years nobody will come close to making so bad a movie as Dune. Ed Wood was less awful at film-making. Plan Nine From Outer Space deserved Oscars by comparison with this drivel.
I'll extend my argument to say that any film ever made on which the name Laurentiis appears as a credit for any reason at all is going to be nothing but embarrassment and an evening you'll spend the remainder of your life trying to forget.
