Has anyone here ever been deficient in Vitamin D?

I was told I was deficient Tuesday, and I'm wondering what changes I can expect now that I'm supplementing.

We had someone here before that used to post about vitamin d, I think. Search the archives or maybe spot will remember.

I seem to remember something about sunlight or something like that being good for you..

Thank you for the link.

Edit: The more I'm reading this, the more I see how prevalent it is, especially among darker-skinned people. So please allow to jump up on my soapbox and encourage anyone who's been feeling out of sorts to get tested.

Oops, sorry. I just checked Tedhutchinson's member page & linked the threads he started. They were all about vitamin D, I think.

Two years ago the Canadian Cancer Society started recommending that everyone take vitamin D to prevent cancer. You can see the information at vitamind3world.com
