New Friends
I am so happy. My husband and I found some new friends to hang out with. They moved in next door. They are from New York. They have no kids but are really fun to hang out with. They are only here in the APTS for a few weeks because they are having a house built.. We are planning on staying close friends. I am so excited. Tim and I have had many nice "couple friends" but this couple is so nice. Yay!

Hi tmbsgrl and polycarp.
So very pleased you have made friends with your new neighbours and I hope you continue to become firm friends, often good friends can be better than some relatives. You mentioned nuptial polycarp, have you fixed your big day yet ??. Not like me we had out big day fifty three years ago on the 6th March 1954, and quite a record in this day and age.. Hope you didn't mind me posting on your new thread tmbsgrl. ![]() |

Re: New Friends
I'm butting in too Joanee. Hope you all don't mind. My husband and I moved from Yorkshire to Somerset 21 years ago. Unfortunately we haven't made, what you could call real friends. We have work colleagues we sometimes dine out with and look after our neighbours, who are in their 80's but because we work full time we only get to do things with our two daughters and grandchildren. I suppose friendship is really what you put into it and we haven't invested that time.
