Just thinking out loud....

I was just reading Marie's new thread about being alone on an island for a year, and my first thought was: "S*%t, that's my sentence for the next year, I'm already there!" I almost posted something to that effect, but caught myself.
Also, a couple other posts I have made recently seem to be depressing and somewhat dark. I just wanted to apologize to everyone for being so glum, and for dragging my glumness up in everyone else's threads. It's kinda hard to NOT be glum, and being here with all of you guys is about all I can handle when it comes to being around other people right now, so you all bear the brunt of my depression and anger, and sadness. So, for that, I'm sorry. Trying to be positive just isn't working yet, I'm still wallowing. I hope everyone understands and maybe calls me on it when I'm being a party-pooping lump.
You guys don't deserve to be subjected to my moods all the time like that.

Any progress on getting matters rectified?

I honestly hadn't noticed, you seem to be doing much better than I would under the circumstances.

You are having a tough go of things now, and while it is probably considered "normal" to feel down and all bummed...remember to talk with friends, alot. And, if you need to, get counseling...just to talk things out. No shame in that, these days.

Well thanks guys, but it still feels selfish. I'm used to being the one to help other folks out and being strong, and giving advice etc, etc...

OM, I did talk to my appeal lawyer today, and he has given me a bit better of a time-frame about the process. Basically, nothing much is going to happen until they get the court transcripts ready, and they have till the beginning of October to do that, and according the lawyer, they will take every last day they have to fulfill their obligations. Friggin' court system is an utter joke.

I'd love to go back to my therapist, but my insurance is gone now and every penny I make is going to pay for the appeal. My Dad is looking into some options, though. I can't focus long enough to research anything right now.

Wow BR, when you say the beginning of October, that seems like an eternity! It most certainly is for you.
But you must just concentrate on & take it "one-day-at a time"! That's the only way you will get through & that is to make it into "managable time"! Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is out of sight, so today is all that really matters. Then tomorrow will become today, & you concentrate on "today" again! The very strongest of "positive vibes" are being sent your way!
Stay strong BR, & keep cussing, spitting, yelling, hitting, kicking, punching, banging things, all you want in here, that's what our shoulders are here for!
