Five hours to cook It.
An hour to wash the dishes and clean down the kitchen.
10 minutes to eat It.
But sooo worth It.

Agreed! Sounds like my pot roasts.
I refuse to cook anything longer than it takes to eat it, and you can still eat healthy doing this, and taste delicious as well.
Holy smokes---6 hours and ten minutes????? I can do the whole weeks dinner (delicious) and clean up in that length of time, leaving more time for fun stuff.
Sunday roast is very much a British tradition but I often have them on a week day night.
Usually a joint of meat preferably not horse.
Roast potato's
Yorkshire puddings.
Three types of veg.
Oscar's special bumstinger mashed swede and parsnip
Roast parsnips
Gravy made from meat juices.
I do make everything from scratch which Is why It takes so long and always do extra potato's and sprouts for Bubble and Squeak the next day.
