Re: Does God Help His Own ?

I'm on your heels, Carolly, and I want to suggest to Danniyal that some of us who believe in God, believe that He sees all people on this earth as his own and would therefore help any one of us. My main problem is that God and I don't always see eye to eye on what that help should be I feign omniscience and think I know what I want...God really is omniscient and knows what I want

Re: Does God Help His Own ?

If god helps his own, then religious people should suffer less than atheists, however, I am not sure that's actually the case. Then some people would respond that gods sends trials to his own to make them better people, but this also doesn't work, as atheists also experience problems, so how come god is also teaching them to be strong and deal with difficult issues.

I think what is patently obvious is that God may exist, but if he does, then he is not particularly pushed in directly helping anyone, and can best be described as an absentee landlord.

I've heard that it rains on the just and unjust. But mostly on the just, because the other stole his umbrella.

Know what you mean Theia lol....I believe I have a higher power.....if one wants to call this God thats fine....I also believe that a few times in my life "something" has saved my life....Im not a religious person and some of the Bible I cant get my head round at all......my upbringing I guess had a big part in that. However I have had I believe some spiritual experiences to know in my mind.....and not to push down anybody elses throat....that there is something out there.....its just upto the individual to make their own mind up what it is.......and if that is God nobody has the right to question why they think that....we are our own person and control our own beliefs and not what others want us to.

That is, if atheists aren't God's own. As for suffering, ask any young teenager who suffers more, them or the kids of other parents.

Re: Does God Help His Own ?

God does help his own. He also practices what he preaches and loves his neighbor and his enemy. Since "love" is an action word he is helping anyone who will allow him to help.

Re: Does God Help His Own ?

Let's Just Take A Look At These People Who Are Jews, Christians, Muhammadans, Buddhists And Hindus Who All Would Freely Say: "Thanks To Yahweh, Jehovah, Adonai, Hashem, Theos, Christ, God, Allah, Rabbi, Om, Krishna, Shiva, Brahma And A Host Of Egyptians Deities By Whatever Names You Call
Them, Such And Such Survived In An Earthquake? Can't You See That This Is A Personal Emotion? You're Not Considering All The Other People Who Died In That Earthquake. Not To Mention The Animals And The
Vegetation That Lived Are Also Cut Off. But That's Not Important To You Because Your God Teaches You That He's Only Concerned With People Of Your Religious Persuasions, And In This Case, Your Family Members Only. I Can't See A God Who Has Preference Like That. Now, Let's Take A Closer Look At The World And What Happens In It; And It Is Supposed To Be Controlled By God, Whose Ever God Is Responsible . ( Refer To Whose God Is Responsible ? Scroll # 89 )

We'll Use The Word "God", Because Written In English So Don't Say That This Does Not Apply To Because My God Is Name '' Allah
