Basicly they data testors were not doing it blind or double blind, and they were also doing multiple tests (for accuracy) and they purposely left out any data that did not support the conclusion, and he sited specific data that was left out with a huge range of aged dates- the majority fo the dates in one study as I recall were in the 4000 year range, but only three date ranges were selected in the final study- which were billions of years from the majority of the tests data. But that didnt fit the outcome expected so they just left it out.
I wish you could find it too because it seems central to your blinkered perspective. No scientific paper that I've seen has ever attempted to use Carbon 14 dating beyond 40,000 years into the past.

A story of two Bishops....

one denies the Nazis used gas chambers while the other says the world is 6000 yo..

Shouldn't both Bishops be treated the same?

Re: Our 6000 Year Old Earth

I have personally wondered how to marry together science and scriptures. I believe in evolution, the dramatic changes of planet earth...ice ages etc..... in other words i believe the science behind it all.

When the scriptures were written, humans had a totally different knowledge base I guess.

But the bible covers all of human history, from creation to the present, and even the future- so that documant contains an explaination for why these past cultures have similar stories, they all come form the same person outward, in thier past they would have had similar histories when they were unified, as they broke off into independent cultures and developed they would have commonality. Thr bible as history is more relaible to me than a clay tablet found and then science trying to explain a whole culture off of where the tablet was found.

But thanks for the reply!

Bez I think most people think like you do! It's difficult for some to believe man has the answers.

One thing is for sure is that they all tell the same story just different interpretations, the story of Jesus is written on the Pyramid walls,

the 6000 year old Earth theory should not be allowed to hold any validity especially when teaching the young however the knowledge of the bible should be interpreted with a better understanding.. take the children to see Thutmose III tomb and see the story of reincarnation, read the sumerians story of the great flood, learn them to understand the 7 days 6 nights theory of creation from the Mayans... they will find that God is greater than imagined before because peoples before the "Bible" knew the same God.. and the same story.

Thats the crux of the discussion though, if I go teach my children that the egyptian/myan cultures are older than Adam then I dont really hold the truth.

I'll stick to teaching them the bible and when they are older let them decide.

The old testament was written later than these civilisations Jester, in the age of Aries the Ram..
the date of Adam and eve match the golden age or age of Gemini, in astrology Gemini is the twin sign..

I'm talking about 4000 years before the old testament was written

But I'm sure you are a good father Jester and do the right thing we all should be allowed to disagree...

it's good to discuss such things...
