Ethics

How do you define ethics.

A college professor had a whole day lecture on it.

It was Ethics have them you may go home.

A few people stayed and debaited if it was ethical for him to dismiss us early.

How can the truth be unethical? Perhpas if it is delevered in a harmfull manner.

Those of you who are Christians I do ask that you pray that my employer does do the ethical thing regarding my work comp claim that they are disputing.

I'm not supposed to be stressing out about these court dates. I'm trying to be anxious for nothing as the Bible states.

Just wanted to give them one last chance to be ethical when I resubmitted my claim.

Re: Ethics

Both Ethics and Morality change as Culture changes. They are the Herd-Mentality in the individual.
The high-moral ground is when you can claim a Right within the larger community (perhaps through the legal process) that your position is more valid that your adversary's. Society's judgement will be made with the general good in mind.

With whatever due respect, Gimli: HUH?!?
Right and Wrong are static. Ethics are static. Electing to do Good (capital G) is not "herd mentality." It often takes a sacrifice that larger society deems too much to pay. Herd mentality is displayed when cattle claim that the herd defines Right and changes that definition as herd whim dictates.

Right and Wrong do not equate to Legal and Illegal!
