if you could live in another time and place, what would it be? and why?..... i think i would like to be a young woman during the 40's, it was our last innocence. the music, the clothes, the small-town feel like "it's a wonderful life". simplicity.

If I could live in another era.

The time and place of choice would have to be Polynesia about 1000 years ago. During the great age of their exploration. I would like to be the first Polynesian to step on a Hawaiin beach.

Another would be medievil Japan.

I would also like to be a Russian soldier at Stalingrad in 1943. Bulletproof of course.

I don't know how to explain the last one, I guess it is that instinct some men have to go and look for trouble.

Western American expansion, I'd have loved to have been part of the Lewis and Clark expedition, or to have lived on the fontier in Ohio, or there abouts!

Nice thread LC, I guess I'd like to be a philosopher in ancient Greece. Contemplating on everything under the sun alongside the likes of Socrates, Plato Aristotle etc.

I'd be a saloon girl in the old west. My dress would be RED and I'd
have those little black lacy gloves and some colorful rooster feathers
in my little headdress!
