If yesterdays speeches at the UN are anything to go on, it seems as if for the first time
in thirty four years, relations between the USA and Iran might, just might be starting to thaw.

Iran's new president, Hassan Rouhani and U.S. President Barack Obama, on the surface anyway, appeared to be edging slightly closer towards making use of a method which often works in such cases … its called “talking to each other.”

Predictably Israel is unconvinced of the Iran’s sincerity in this regard and believes that Teheran is only trying to buy more time to come up with a nuclear device.

Of course President Obama might be doing this to send the following message to Israel and Netanyahu:

“If you want me to order my armed forces to bomb Syria, then you take out Iran’s nuclear facility, because:

Our Mr. John Kerry
Is gonna talk to the guys
At Vezârat-e Omur-e Khâreje.”

Or as Hannibal Lecter said to Clarice Starling in “The Silence of the Lambs”:

‘Quid Pro Quo
Is the way to go …'

Or words to that effect.
