Excitement plus.
Time to leave out west & drive to the coast.
Drive for 4 hours Sunday afternoon.
A specialists appointment is the first stop,Monday morning 8:30 ,have a check up ,the obligitory injections ,all going well,on the road again.

We drive for about 15minutes see a Toyota dealership,pull in walk around the yard ,checking out prices,etc.
Go in to have a chat & check out new cars,very nice, found this one & the haggling began The saolesman offered us a low amount for our5yr old car we laughed & said I don't think so.
Four hours later & we are the proud owners of this car.To be picked up all on the road the following Saturday afternoon at 4pm. http://www.toyota.com.au/aurion-presara

Driving along for another 4 hours & we decide we are hungry we haven't had lunch,it is now 4;30pm.
Lunch was a coffee & sandwich.
Back driving for another 3hours & we are at our destination.

Great to see my parents ,sad to see my Mum crippled up in constant pain.Please god don't let it be heriditory.How selfish am I, thinking of me, when my Mum is in pain? Pretty bloody selfish but they are my thoughts. Bad daughter. Or just human nature?

Lot's of little jobs we can do to help out around the place make life easier for my parents,so we attack,putting up doors,fences ,gates,doing laundry,cooking,talking,just great to be able to do things that they cannot do.

My husband had a game of golf by the sea with my brother,I put $20 in the poker machines,didn't realise the bet was on $5 pressed the thing twice & walked away with $350 all for a $20 payment I was impressed. Went & sat by the sea & had coffee till the boys finished golf.Big smile on my dial.

Went out for dinner or lunch everyday.
Met up with a lot of my family it was great to see them.
Had a new hair cut & colour.
A lot of shopping done for the parents,grandkids,kids I just love to get to major shopping out lets.
The main xmas shopping is done,the sales where on so I was lucky with that as well.

All in all it was a lovely but sad week.Good to be back home again to see the family.Our oldest granson is sleeping soundly as I type this.
He passed his sergeant exams at Cadets so we are all very proud of him.
He is now catching up on sleep.

Since I have been back in the garden,I have noticed a lot of topics on religion.

Are we/people searching for something or does religion baffle us so much we need to understand more about it?

Can we ever agree on discussions about religion?

I love to read these topics but try not to comment & give my thoughts.
Been there done that went really bad.

I truly hope people find what they are searching for.

This past year I have found a peace & serenity & a bit of get up & have a go,funnily enough it was from a lovely lady here in the garden.
Nothing to do with religion,just a few kind words from this lovely lady.

Jimbo ask's how I will remember FG.

I don't want to spoil his thread so I will write in here .

I will remember some very lovely ,friendly people.
Clancy,Snooze,Arnold,Lulu just to name the ones who no longer post at FG.
They are great people & I like them a lot.

I will remember fights,deaths,sickness,kindness,laughter,fun,tears ,frustration,anger,
forgiveness,compassion,love, friendship.

Just like I will remember all these things happening in my RL.

Most of all I will remember all the lovely friends I have on here past & present.
What an experience I have had learning about different nationalities & how something worded the wrong way can cause a lot of hurt to some but to others it means something entirely different.

I will remember I have friends from around the world & plan on visiting some of them in the future.

I know sickness affects us all sadly it is part of life.

Some families go through their lives with no sickness,others seem to cop their fair share .
Then you have the others who seem to have so much saddness in their lives.
How do these people keep going.
The inner strength is amazing.

I find these words below very comforting,I sing this a lot.
A strength needed by many

"the waiting game".

It is hard to do when you have to still carry on with your life.
Putting one foot in front of the other is a chore .
Trying to do everyday things that need to be done.
Looking at your children & wondering how they will grow.Just in case.
Writing letters to those you love,just in case.
Laughing ,crying,anger,loving,trying to cram it all in such a short time ,just in case.
Fear of the unknown.
It is all part of" the waiting game."

I had my heart broken this morning.

I am older I should have known better.



Not going to happen to me anymore.

Out comes the hard shell.

Nothing will penetrate past the hard shell again.

I will make sure of that.

One promise I will keep to myself.

I am going to a funeral today.
Our friend is no longer in pain,he said he was tired of it all.
The pain,the not sleeping,just trying to breath was agony for him.
He can rest now.

Lets hope for a cure soon.

12:30 am .
Excitment abounds ,kids lined up to get on the bus.Kits stowed beneath the bus.
I looked like I was heading to a resort ,suitcase all neatly packed,my pillow with a satin pillow case,kids laughed at that one.I didn't understand.I do now

Finally the bus starts up & we are on a 12 hour drive to camp.
The cadets are sleepy but not sleepy enough to actually close their eyes & take advantage of the night hours to rest up fo what turns out to be a hectic but very educational & tiring week .

Arriving at a small town before we get inducted into the camp last minute junk food is purchased.I change into my uniform,it's hot.
I buy my last zero coke for the week.

We are inducted & so an amazing busy week starts.
I camped out over night,with my satin pillow case.
No changing into civvies to sleep ,just sleep in the uniform.
That was different.

I saw kids having a ball.I saw the few homesick kids & felt so sorry for them.
Sat & talked to them tried to make them laugh & take their minds off things.
Then on the other side of the coin there where some kids who didn't want to go home.............ever.They got to me .
No major accidents for any of the kids so that was fantastic.
I was allowed to listen in on lots of medical discussions,looking & learning.
Also did a few treatments for minor things.
Drove ambulances with sirens, lights flashing etc
Snakes ants & spiders where rife at the camp.No snake bites thank goodness.
Dehydration was a bit of a problem but on the whole I am told it was one of the best camps re injuries.So that was fantastic.

The trip home was very quiet, kids exhausted & sleeping most of the way.
Macca's & Subway where the order of the day on the way home so the kids got the junk food fix & I got to have a Latte.
I have been invited to go back next year & I think I will go .
I love to see kids having a great time & enjoying themselves.
I really enjoyed it myself,big kid at heart I guess.

Bloody hard work.

To try & stay positive & upbeat about life?

Bloody hard work.

Been doing this quite successfuly for myself these past few years.
No one see's the real feelings,just what I allow them to see.
I have a great wall,took years to build.
Let the defences down not long ago ,shouldn't have,should have known better.
I think I will leave it there for a bit longer.
Do we ever learn?


I see others getting hurt,day in day out.
That isn't going to happen to me again.
The wall is going up higher & higher.

People you trusted for ages.
People you trusted for a short time.
People you stood up for.
Gone,couldn't care less.
Never Again,never again.

How old do we have to be before we understand the game of life?
