Holloway Twitty said that a nagging thought in the back of her mind said the Aruban government is protecting the three students. As she put it, it's up to the Aruban authorities to assure her "that will not be an issue."

the Aruban government is so concerned about these allegations that they brought in a judge from out of the country. they are worried sick over the tourism ramifications. but the mom is saying she is not trusting the local authorities. that they have not been forthcoming with the family, in fact have been jerking them around.

I agree with the MOM they are getting jerked around. They know way more than they are tell her parents. Seem they are trying to cover for the Dutch kid, and diplomatic amunity. SOMETHING JUST NOT RIGHT.

a couple new developments on tuesday...the two security guards have been released. and one of them is talking to the press, mickey john said that he talked to one of the three still in custody, who said they never took Natalee back to the hotel. he didn't admit anything to him, but the three are telling divergent stories now and trying to implicate each other...which is usually the beginning of getting someone to tell the truth and roll over on the other.

What is that? Why do you assume the local authorities are corrupt? At this point you don't know what happened-it's not as though beating a confession out of them would be constructive it wouldn't stand up in court they have to get it by other means-assuming the three kids did actually do something, at this point you don't know what happened.

Why would they tell the mother anything? They can't say anything until they charge someone and even then they won't until the trial otherwise they jeopardise their case. What has diplomatic immunity got to do with anything? Aruba is Dutch, the politician is dutch, even if it were a foreign country it's highly unlikely the dutch would allow one of their diplomats to claim diplomatic immunity for a capital offence like murder and it's the SON of a politician not the politician himself.

I thought the three said they took Natalee back to the Hotel and the security guards came up to Nat? Now the 3 kids are telling a different story that they didnt take her to the Hotel? I too have been trying to stay with the story as much as possible. I think the mother is right. Those three boys know where she is and it makes me sick. I can't even imagine what her mother is going through. If I had the money I would fly over to Aruba right now and start looking for her. I would look everywhere I could. Why did they call of the water searches? How many people are looking for her?

An area near an Aruba beachfront hotel was cordoned off by police and apparently being searched Tuesday, more than two weeks after an Alabama teenager disappeared. Meanwhile, the mother of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway told CNN Tuesday she believes the investigation into her daughter's disappearance was "proceeding forward."

I just flipped it on CNN on and saw this report. But keep me informed. I hope they find her.

again, nothing. ..........i am rather struck by the fact that the three young men currently in custody were questioned initially and then let go with no impounding of their vehicle, no seizing of their clothing, this is against all precepts of investigation! they admitted to being the last to see her, that is where the investigation begins! those three had 11 days clear to destroy evidence and concoct a story. but now their stories diverge into the self-serving. i am sorry to say i think the Aruban police dropped the ball at the outset.





A search near an Aruba beachfront hotel that began Tuesday afternoon has ended with apparently no new clues in the search for 18-year-old Natalee Holloway, the Alabama student missing since May 30.

friday--------ORANJESTAD, Aruba — Authorities in Aruba arrested a fourth man in connection with the disappearance of missing Alabama honors student Natalee Holloway, officials said.

The new person detained is a 26-year-old friend of Joran van der Sloot , who was with Holloway the night she disappeared, sources said. The attorney general's office identified him only by the initials S.G.C.
