We have this implemented in another forum I visit and few articles get much response, there are so many of them. I haven't been too crazy about it so far. I know when I post news stuff myself a lot of times I get static from other members or the topic sinks to the bottom. On the plus side, those of us (like me) who like to to know what's happening and to talk about current issues, might like it if we could get others to contribute.

Yes, we'll see how it goes. You know, I'm not all that concerned about it sparking conversations...I'm viewing it (personally) as a nice neat place to aggregate news so I can scan items quickly.

But who knows! More tweaking is needed...

It seems to be functioning alright... not too many flooding the forum at once (certainly not as much as the word game threads do ) and enough activity to keep it all broken up.
