why do cat's have saggy belly's

Neutering an animal can tend to put the weight on them. Just keep them active. A string dragged along the floor to chase, a flashlight spot, or laser pointer also works well. Do you have access to catnip? That makes my 14 year old boy VERY frisky!!

It's the same as with US... diet and exercise. Tamsen is a trim 67
pounds and never has gained a SMIDGIN since her spay surgery at
6 months of age. Correction, one time when I was slowly changing
foods I inadvertently got a little heavy handed with the kibble scoop.
But when I noticed, I brought her back down.

They can't eat it if you don't give it to them! (Wish I had somebody
to control MY intake!!)

Yup he was 7 1/2 stone when he went in for the castration, he was one year old, and we had him weighed a few month's ago and he was 10 1/2 stone he is supposed to be on a diet and we are trying the funny thing is they said he was to heavy at 7 1/2 stone.

I agree with Val...diet and exercise.....sounds like 'gravity's' taken over just like US...

Kind of off the subject a little, but my one cat really likes "surfing" on magazines or slick catalogs that end up on the floor. She gets her front feet on the magazine and then slides it around... its pretty funny to watch.

My podgy one does that with his belly . If you shine a laser on the floor he lunge's at it and skid's on his belly on the wooden laminate floor .....but he's not fat he's just cuddly !!!

I don't think 12 pounds sounds excessive for an adult cat, but then I'm an indulgent mother.
