Sleep
Sleep curls in the corners of rooms and slips Heavy onto the lids of tired eyes. Its fingers work on the knots of necks and backs Relaxing, stroking the limbs loose, softening Walls into pillows, feather-stuffed with slumber. Sleep swims in the warm air and stills It into somnolence, each breath drowns you deeper In velvet dark, sinking in luminous seas Of dreams, drifting the infinite currents of time, Cradles you gentle and rocks you back to the womb.
