I think that had the poll gone in the direction of 20 members not concerned about mass Immigration, we would not be having this conversation. The poll has gone against what some wanted thus you look for something to blame. IF my sales tactics were that good, I'd be employed as Gordon Browns Spin Doctor.

I'm going to put a poll on to see if your theory of the power of suggestion is correct or not.

It is quite possible that even with a well thought out title and set of questions the results would have been the same but we will never know due to the built in bias of the original poll - why do you think that there are such arguments over the wording of public polls and why the authors of research papers are obsessed with removing bias from the questions if they expect the paper to be accepted for peer review?

Can we define "mass immigration"? Is this context based off of current statistics or a flood of what might at first appear to be a heard of Buffalo raging 100,000 strong?

How long of a period are we talking here? Over the course of 5 years or 30?

Based off of the question I'd say that mass immigration does not concern me here in the US up to an increase of the US population above the 400 million mark within a stretch of 5 years! That's an increase of roughly 60 million people in 5 years and I believe the scale of concern, given a lack of cooperation by our social system and the already "legal" Americans, ever so increases logarithmically as such!

Public health care is the natural solution but no one wants to pay a little to save a few! No different than a rich man not wishing to give a poor man a few nickles to eat! "He'll just buy booze with it" Well he wouldn't have to buy booze if a number more gave him a few nickles!

"Someone is going to die" because Jimmy "needs to see a doctor" about his toe! Simple really! Seeing a doctor after an appeal hearing would be appropriate in my mind! What and the emergencies would somehow change? I sincerely doubt that!

I'd personally give citizenship to all of the illegals! They're going to poor in here people the least we could do is track and tax them! Until the borders are monitored with better precision I see no other "solution", logically speaking!

Mass immigration truly a concern of mine as far as my health in the US? Not in the slightest! Half of my family hails from Kentucky I can live with the best of 'em!(I've recently discovered I have significant English ancestry along with Scottish and Irish to add to my German and Native American blood as well but another topic!)

"Mass immigration" if I were to live in Africa would terrify the Bejesus out of me!
