IMO they are a bunch closer to understanding the US constitution than Bush (the Fascist) or Obama (the Socialist). So I feel a comparison with Thomas Jefferson would be warranted. And if there were a litany test who whom should run the US, I think a comparison with President Jefferson could be it.

But….that’s just my opinion. I’m also a fan of Teddy Roosevelt, proof that an American conservative can also be a good environmentalist/conservationist.

But didn't Roosevelt claim to actually be a socialist?

The thing about putting Barr and Paul in the same company is odd as well. Bob Barr is actually a religious fanatic who ran as a libertarian only because the libertarians wanted someone with name recognition. Ron Paul is probably the closest you may find to a libertarian, but then hes republican, isn't he?

Jefferson wasn't like any of them. Obama is closer to Jefferson than any of the three that you've mentioned, IMO.

He ran on a platform that is anathema to the American Way and our ideals of individual liberty and self-determination. He apparently has a plan to completely bring down the economy so he can "rescue" us from poverty. Looking strictly at his campaign claims and his behavior, he's not doing bad. He is fundamentally changing this country.

He and the legislature are killing America.
