Hello folks!

This is "Comrade" Skinsguy here. I stumbled across this old thread just the other day. After racking my brain, I finally remembered this Blue Devil 1 guy. Folks, I can definitely tell you that there are always two sides to every story.

I did moderate that board about three years ago. We had several egos on the site that felt they should be free to do or say anything they want on the board. And, when we had to edit or delete posts, they would either repost the same thing we just got through deleting, or they would start a brand new thread complaining because we were "censoring" their free speech.

I'm sure this forum has similar rules that ours does/did. Keep it respectful, no personal attacks on other members and mods, no profanity,etc... Guys like this one (we had more than this guy giving us headaches,) refused to abide by our simple rules. If I edited his posts, he would repost them or create a brand new duplicate thread. If I deleted his posts, same thing. When he finally got tired of reposting the threads, he would post a new thread publicly putting me and the rest of the mods down for being "communists". I found it interesting that he never posted any threads where he used profanity or where he personally attacked others on the board. The guy was a menace on that forum, and he obviously had an agenda against us. I don't know if he posts on our new forum under a different username, but thank God I gave up moderating the board!

Anyways, I just wanted to give my side of the story, even though it is about three years late. Better late than never, right?

What you'll find if you hang around, skinsguy, is that ForumGarden is the lawless Wild West compared to what you describe. Keep it respectful? No personal attacks on other members and mods? That'll be the day. Death stalks the land, the center cannot hold and woe to all that raise their heads above the parapet.

The no profanity happens because we have a ****** automatic profanity filter. Just as well, really.

Welcome to the site, I hope you settle in and kick a few ruffians. You'll probably find eventually that they're the mods.

Since I'm new here, I feel most comfortable trying to abide by the rules. I'm sure in time (especially if I jump into the political or religious forums) that I'll find out what the mods allow and what they disallow.

I'll see for our local forum, the owner has to enforce the rules, simply because the forum is tied to a media site. This is the owner's bread and butter, so he has to keep things "user friendy".
