Space Science Pioneer Van Allen Questions Human Spaceflight

A leading space scientist has called to question the validity of human spaceflight, suggesting that sending astronauts outward from Earth is outdated, too costly, and the science returned is trivial.

He's right. Nowadays, it's costing way too much to send a crew up into space. Since there hasn't been a lot of money given to NASA and Bush's "moon base" plan most likely won't go into action, I think we should spend more time on research for plans of making cheaper space travel.
