may sound stupid but I have to practice saying "whilst" before I get to England. It's popular there, if you haven't noticed.

Whilst enjoying sounding proper, it does sometimes offend my sensibilities.

eta: should that be "doth"?

nah, most of us only write 'whilst' in case we get pulled up on our grammar!
I actually say while far more. But then I'm a common yokel.

Though I might dress a peach one day and run down the street screaming "I come in peace!" whilst clicking my heels together in the air. Then they'll know they made a mistake when they let me in.
