Here's a little colorful nostalgia for you in the form of neon signs, specifically those in New York City! It makes me think of the ubiquitous movie scenes where someone checks into a cheap hotel room and inevitably spends their nights tossing, turning and unable to sleep because of the ever flashing neon sign just outside their window. That never happens in the tonier establishments and only to naive newcomers to the city looking for cheap accommodations.
