I thought of you, Kathy, when I first came across the article. So, you are very welcome.
Considering how big the universe is, I think there's a very good chance that there's life out there somewhere. Not that we're ever likely to make contact in the near future considering the distances involved. Neither do I think our universe is the only one. I can't for the life of me imagine that there has only been one Big Bang. If you consider just how big infinity is and how small we are by comparison. Our own universe is so vast that we cannot see but a part of it.

A very interesting link OpenMind.
The universe is so awesome, it me reminds that if we take the entire universe into account, we begin to realize we're only here for a week-end.
So we're best enjoying it rather than being caught up in wars and strife.
If only the leaders of the world's nations would think on that also.
Thank you for your posting.

Ahhh, thanks so much OpenMind:-6
Yes, I've read that we have many universes. I will continue to believe that there is intelligent life in outer space and watch for ufo's. Who knows what may happen in the future.
I live in hope.
OM, you saw 'Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind,' didn't you? If you had the choice and didn't have a child, would you have gone for a journey on the spaceship?????

Excuse me for butting in Kathy Ellen.
I don't know about OpenMind (though I'm sure he would) but I'd jump at the opportunity.
Just the mere thought of it, eh!! Fantastic.

I really don't know. I would miss my friends so I'd go only if I knew I would be coming back.

I agree with you OpenMind. I would go in a heartbeat if I knew that I'd come back soon. If it was too long of a journey, I would miss my family, friends and life at the beach too muchwah:

The previous report might be bogus.
So "Simulations on the real data have shown that the probability that such a signal is just produced 'by chance' out of the noise is not negligible, of the order of several percents,”.
If the chance of it being noise is "several percent" that means that the chance of it being real is slightly lower than 100% - I'll take my chances and think it true until proven otherwise
Great article - gives us hope for the future.

It's probably possible that it is and it's possibly probable that it isn't.
