We planted this peony about 5 years ago and every year it produces only one flower! What it lacks in numbers, it makes up for in quality. It's a spectacular flower, quite large and with a brilliant color. Here is this year's offering:

Your plant is small now - this can grow into a beautiful bush.
A neighbor had a peony bush - absolutely beautiful all in bloom.
yours is off to a good start & I know your excited with the bloom.
very pretty

Peony
Any Peony should have between 4 and 9 divisions.
You need to work In a good fertiliser around the plant to help It produce more buds. After the summer this year, dig It up, divide It up to 3 clumps and replant Tabby.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. R.L. Binyon

Peony
I adore peonies but it is too warm to grow them where I live. I have to be content with paying a fortune for them if I want some or want to give them to someone else. Love your photo and hope it grows into a big bush for you one day.
