Re: USA vs England (Soccer/Football)

Well we are starting to create a few promising chances, so a second may be coming (fingers crossed.)

In truth I thought the US would be a bit better than this, they look like they are just here to make up the numbers.

Re: USA vs England (Soccer/Football)

Just remembered to turn on before the goal, so as far as I'm concerned it's a cracking game full of incident.

Re: USA vs England (Soccer/Football)

Oh and can I just say that for anyone watching the BBC coverage, their commentators both during the match and with *shudder* Gary Lineker and co is awful! Honestly they are like listening to the most boring thing you could imagine times by a million!

I agree I'm alway a bit dissapointed when I watch the US Men Play they are always just missing something. Now the Womens National Team is actually fun to watch play. They play every game like its was for the Olympic Gold. Of course I'm a bit partial as my Niece Plays on the WNT and may be going to the Olympics.

Re: USA vs England (Soccer/Football)

Oh how wonderful for your niece, she must be very talented to have made the national side. Of course I love watching the women's game too, obviously not just the skills (which are easily as good as a lot of the men,) but the er........ you know.

I do wonder why the men team though looks half-hearted tonight. I bet that if it were being played in the US (which is actually where I thought it was being played,) the team would be playing with a lot more momentum. Too many away sides seem to just be happy playing defensively, which for the neutral isn't good viewing.

Edit: Within a minute the US just missed a brilliant chance, clearly the manager gave them a talking too at half time!

Re: USA vs England (Soccer/Football)

If I remember rightly aren't the US in the top 20 in the world or close to there. Honestly I've seen much little sides like Macedonia cause more problems.
