This is how you go crabbing down in NJ... use chicken necks or bunker pieces for bait..
when you feel the crab on the line very very slowly pull it up.. then slide a net under the crab and grab that sucker..

Ahh Fisher... you bring back memories..
I used to go out on lobster boats on the Bay of Fundi when I was aroud 7 years old..
learne how to band them then..
and all about the traps.. the parlor and the dining room...
and the difference between the claws....

Yes! once in awhile we will cook a pot of lobsters on the boat. This is the best way to have lobsters. Fresh from the trap and Cooked in salt water. This is illegal though.

Hello Fisher,

I posted a question to you long ago, but don't think you saw it. Have you ever read Linda Greenlaw's books? One book she wrote was.. "The Lobster Chronicles."

I love all of her books and think she's a great "fisherwoman."

Would like to know your opinion about women who fish and command boats.
