Re: Part Time Gig

This is turning out to be a really crazy deal. So far its been great. I like the people Im working for tremendously and Im meeting some extremely interesting people.
The lady I work for, her husband in the past and present has trained FBI agents and Secret Service agents in weapons training and threat management.
Up till now Ive been serving civil court summons but tomorrow Ill be doing surveillance with another guy thats been doing this for a long time.
Its bizarre and exciting and Im going to see where it all takes me.
Im still working my regular job but who knows what the future holds.
I keep thinking who gets to do this kind of thing ?
I mean people do it but really, who knows anyone that actually does it.
What a trip !

Oh, you are going to check out someone, and be sneaky in serving a summons? Someone whose been dodging you? You could write some good memoirs from this....

Nope, its completely different. Its a case they have. They need video and reports. PI stuff. I know it sound like BS but its real. I just kind of fell into this and its getting interesting.
The PI with the license is taking me under her wing.

Agent Nomad has a ring to it. It must be very exciting to have fallen into this and its working out so well. Good for you Nomie, sounds like fun to me.

It is !
The possibilities go on and on. They do corporate security work, bodyguard services, safe transportation, background checks, surveillance and more.
Im beginning to think I might have opportunities to get out from under hard labor for once in my life. We hit it off right away and things are falling in place.
Still its very bizarre to me right now.

Re: Part Time Gig

Im not a virgin anymore.
I actually resolved a case weve been working on.
Weve been staking out a house and business for some time.
Surveillance can be extremely boring. After you finish reading the paper or magazine you have with you, and picking all the lint out of your belly button, and straightening out all the crap in your car etc.
Then youre in trouble. Youre left with just yourself. In my case....not good.
I decided to buy a portable dvd player that you plug into your cig lighter and I was all set up, leaned my seat back, ate some beef jerky, made a mental note that Ill be in trouble when I have to go to the bathroom and started watching Malcom X. Not too bad really.
About 2 hrs into it the wife shows up, then he shows up, I call the sheriffs office and the deputy gets there in like 5 minutes.
Done deal.
9 days vacation, my first case and my boss has a hug waiting for me.
Im liking it.
