  2. American Total Solar Eclipse' of 2017

I have always been interested in Astronomy. I spent time on a cold mountain with my brother as he took photos in his frankenstein telescope. Of all the events which fascinated me, most are eclipses. Suppose because they do not take close observation but like a show for the masses. Observed...

  4. Planetary Perspectives

It's hard to grasp the enormity of "what's out there" and this chart brings that home even more. Whether you attribute it all to a higher being or to something along the lines of the big bang theory, it's awe inspiring! See 2nd post!

  6. Super Moon - June 23, 2013

Be sure to check out the sky tonight to see the moon at its perigee and if you're lucky it won't be rainy/overcast! I tried to take some photos of it last year but didn't have much success. The photos simply didn't come close to capturing its beauty but maybe someone here with better photography...

  9. Particle Drift?

I'm not certain that's what it was called. A few years back I read a theory hypothesis that goes something like this: If there are parallel Universes, then it could be reasonable to assume that the unfolding of each Universe would be pretty much copies of the first one. Which means you exist...

  17. Perseid is coming!

No matter where you live worldwide, the 2013 Perseid meteor shower will probably be at its best on the nights of August 11 - 12 and/or August 12 -13. Before the dawn viewing is best. 19. Stephen Hawking: God didn't create universe

I find it to be an interesting paradox between the suggestion that the discovering of other planets with life on them argues in favor of a "Godless" existence while Hawking seems to imply doing so will argue in favor of "God". I said "imply" for anyone wishing to argue to bloody teeth,.. ah...
