  1. Electric Shaver

I would like to get a electric shaver but I don't know which one. So far I've used a normal but this whole procedure annoys me. I thought of a device up to 200, - easy to clean... What would you recommend?

  2. GRPS Tracker

It's not a GPS tracker, all it can do is very roughly estimate its distance to proximal cell towers and calculate the geometry. It's usually off by as much as 500 metre/yards so you can't use it for navigation. The GF-07 box is an inch and a half along the longest axis, weighs an ounce, clings...

  3. Breadboards

I looked on eBay to see what exists to teach basic electronics and it's all there, all from the Far East, all extremely cheap. The best bit is the header power supply, it's the MB102 ( For under £3 you can have one delivered, with a 400-hole...

  4. Submarine detection by gravitational anomaly

That's what the BBC reporters claim anyway. Bosh. Bogus nonsense. How on earth is that true. Your underwater submarine displaces its exact weight of water. If it didn't it would sink. The principle of buoyancy applies. So how is a gravity measurement, either from the sea floor or the surface,...

  5. Phone Number Hijacking

My phone number has been hijacked and is being used for spoofing. Apparently, all the numbers being spoofed with my phone are in the (717)314 number range which is the same as mine. Any ideas or suggestions?

  6. Star Trek's tricorder finally reaches the shops

After a 2 year wait of a Kickstarter campaign which raised, I think, around $2m, in which I didn't participate, I just bought a "Scio molecular sensor". It pairs with a smartphone, creates a visible to infra-red absorption spectrograph and compares it to an on-phone library of known materials,...

  8. The Kindle Fire

Ordered one Tuesday and had it Friday. Having a little trouble searching for apps that I know exist, but it's kept me out of trouble today. The battery life is not what my kindles was, but that is to be expected. Other than that I haven't found much to complain about, but I'll keep...

  9. Project Fi

I signed up for this 3 months ago and am loving it, though I've been experiencing a few issues here and there. I've been thinking it was the phone (Nexus 6). My cell bill is half of what it was with AT&T. I ordered the new Nexus 6P which is being shipped today. I'm excited. I'm giving the Nexus...

  10. I, For One, Welcome Our New Robotic Overlords

Autonomous cars, robo-butlers, robotic checkout lanes. I'm okay with all of it. I'd personally enjoy reading sleeping or watching a movie instead of driving. Especially on long trips.

  11. Review - Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i, 832MHz)

I've had several cellphones, all pay as you go. The first had an extensible aerial and I forget who made it but it lasted me eight years. Then I had a succession of identical builder's bricks - the Nokia 5210 with the rubber case - there are two on my desk still with active SIMs. A few months ago I...

I want to buy a MP3 player for jogging/fitness training with... My Creative Zen Touch isn't appreciating all the jumping around, so keeps going on the blink on me! 13. Question Windows: SIZE MATTERS

What is this anyway? Our bank and “charge up the mobile telephone” page don't fit the screen. You know what I mean? 17. 12 Obsolete Technologies Americans Still Use

As long as they remain functional, I think some of these devices will be around for some time to come! 19. One Reason you can ditch your Digital SLR (DSLR) for an iPhone

I own a nice big DSLR. Frankly, I love it. But there are many situations that it's either too big to carry or I just don't have it with me. In comes the iPhone. There are several neat add-ons that you can purchase for the iPhone to make it a superbly capable camera. One of the programs I...
