What's the weather like today?

  1. Morning Sunrise

Last night, rain, lighting and tremendous thunder. Not much in wind and I don't believe the temperature went much below 68F/20C. These photos were taken just before and after Sunrise, Not photoshopped but they look more colorful than I experienced, but it was a beautiful morning.

  2. Excessive HEAT Warning

Excessive heat warning through the State :-6:-6:-6 We will be hot at 120 degrees for days. I survived 122 degrees back in 1990 - we had to close our airport. This will be brutal & I will not be leaving the house.:-1 How's your weather? Patsy

  3. Winter Miscellany

Have any of you ever seen these? I don't think I have or if I did it simply didn't register at the time. We get a few good snows during some winters but they aren't usually followed by strong winds. Maybe someday! Snow roller - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia...

  5. Hamburg is hot hot hot

24 degrees celsius now. I must say I hate the heat and I shouldn't give out because every one else seems to love it. It's the humidity that gets to me. I really am a winter person :-)

  6. About 6 inches.

Of snow so far, they say we could get 8-10 inches by tonight. I'm sure a lot of us in the US are getting snow today, they said this snow storm could affect up to 100 million people in the US. What have you gotten so far?

  8. Stockport flooded

Flash floods strike Poynton, Disley and Stockport - BBC News (http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-manchester-36510683) Bloody awful place, Stockport. 9. It's Bank Holiday time again innit !

As usual (well almost) the Bank Holiday Monday n the UK is imminent, so the weather, true to form, is expected to be cooler and damper. All those poor sods caught in holiday traffic snarl-ups will have to probably suffer rain while they queue, then cooler temps on the beaches when they arrive,...

  10. Spring!!! I think it might be getting close!!

I have noticed the birds are starting to sing in the morning! I haven't heard them for months. That is exciting!!! And this weekend with the beginning of Day Light Saving Time and temps into the upper 50s (F) and .....get ready....some of my crocuses are just peeking thru the mulch!! OMG! I...

  11. The weather

More relentless storms. I live in an old house built in 1895 and its always been a bit drafty but this winter has been especially so. I cant close my back door because it has swollen with all the rain and for a brief 20 seconds, we acquired a small trampoline and two fence panels from a...

  13. "Money no object" says PM Cameron over flood aid.

Well that is what he said today 11 February 2014. Where is the money going to come from ? Has he found a little bit of common sense and decided to retain funds scheduled as aid to India and other countries. We send billions to such places and India have already told us they do not need our...

  14. How are you holding up?

Here in the US we are having the coldest spell in over 20 years. I see the UK is also having some strong winds and flooding as the worst storms in two decades continue. Here the winds are howling and temps are to drop below 1F, and that is without the wind chill. Fargo, North Dakota high...

  18. Hurricane Sandy

Is anyone here in the path of this hurricane? From all accounts, it's a doozy and has the potential to become one of the "perfect storms" as it wends its way north up the coast. Apparently the potential lies for it to collide with a "nor'easter" as well another storm system coming from the west. ...
