DIY Man or Her?

<t>I have to admit, I absolutely loathe doing any housework. I live with my younger sister can be a domestic goddess. However absolutely terrible when it comes to flat packed furniture. I, on the other hand, love to put things like that together. Imagine my excitement when the largest Ikea in the so...

You Your Neighbors

<t>Having recently moved into an apartment block, I can say that I now have more neighbours than I need. Not that I'm not friendly, in fact I've made friends with the people who live right next door to me, but I also find that there are too many people to deal with. This is apartment living I guess ...

Le Petit Prince

I read this book ages ago. The Litte Prince. I love fairy tales - whether they are for adults or not. Thanks for reminding me. I'll have to read it again. :p

premature mid-life crisis...any remedies?

<t>Bill Sikes wrote: Erm, it doesn't work well with your sort of hair - the only thing you can do is apply a strong pre-lightener (which will make it go orangy) and then colour. Unfortunately this would make it brittle and harsh to the touch. Why change it if it's nice? However, much better than get...

premature mid-life crisis...any remedies?

<t>Oh wow, I can't believe it when I read that you said you were busty and Asian!! You don't see many of us around. I thought I was the only one!! I can totally understand when it comes to finding clothes that fit. <br/> <br/> As for slapping the ex-boyfriend, I wish I had thought about doing that w...

Kodak Easyshare CX7300

<t>I have the same problem with my Olympus digital camera. Its because digital cameras are real energy suckers. I normally have to buy more expensive disposable batteries. With the rechargeable batteries, I have a similar problem as well. I bought a cheap charger and batteries which cost about $30 (...

Crochet, anyone?

<r>I'm glad I found this thread. I taught myself how to crochet when I was about 10 from this really old book (like in the 40s or something). I stopped for a long time and want to start again. I've mainly made small things like nanny squares. <br/> <br/> But does anybody have a nice pattern for baby...

No longer friends.. surprised but specially really sad

<r>Apparently breaking up with friends is quite common these days. In my group of friends, there is this one girl who we feel is our friend by default because we've known her for so long. But none of us really like her cause she doesn't really care about us and just thinks of us as an afterthought. ...

~*~what will you do on Christmas?~*~

<r>I'll be spending Christmas with my family at my older sister's place. Her and her husband are really big on Christmas. But they've predicted that its gonna be a really hot day on Christmas day. Yes, its summer here in Oz. No white christmases. We generally celebrate my birthday as well since its ...

Whose your favorite singer(s)/band(s)/or musician(s)? The ones you can't stand?

<t>Has anyone heard of "The Killers"? They're a Las Vegas band. They played in Sydney on Saturday night. It was really good, although a bit short. But I understand cause they're only new and don't have that many songs out. I think their most popular song at the moment that gets quite a bit of radio ...

Anyone here like Tim Burtton's films?(example: Nightmare Before Christmas)

Has anyone seen Big Fish? That was a Tim Burton film as well. His films have ben described as a fairy tale for adults. Which I think is so true!! (Although maybe not re Nightmare before christmas.) :)
