Re: Random Thoughts
Too many damn dogs. It used to be that whilst the children were at school, you'd slope off for a quiet coffee and cake and feel hard done by (or smug it wasn't yours) when someone else's child was having a bad day in the vicinity of your peace and tranquillity. Now it seems we have to put up with th...

Oh my god!!! Did no one tell her about the dress! She's wearing it again for her farewell speech, albeit in a shade of green this time
She has no emotion that woman. No remorse, no regret, no apology.

Luckily the electric sockets look like they are up high, not like home here in the UK where the majority are on the skirting board level causing major issues if you get flooded. Hope you get the insurance money and make sure you enjoy the hard work it's going to take re-decorating etc

We're hearing around here that Boris bailed, and Sunak will get the job. He at least comes across as literate. More than I got from listening to Truss. Boris bailed last night, Penny someone didn't make the 100 backers so at 2pm the last loser was announced as the winner :o (you couldn't make this ...

Surely nobody is going to let that buffoon back in. We are already a laughing stock around the world. Have been horrified at the amount of people who still think he did a 'good job given the circumstances'. Maybe the idea in Years and Years of passing an IQ test to be able to vote isn't such a bad i...

All up to date with my vaccinations, taking precautions in busy areas, but most aren't bothering here any more. That said, it's not stopped us going away and sitting in theatres and trains. I suspect the biggest risk at the moment is from the youngest being at school. We avoided attending a musical ...

It's all so dire, I don't know whats going to happen. We need change now. How do us poorer people ever get ourselves up off the floor. Everything is stacked against us making any headway. I've been pondering your last post for much of the day. It occurs to me that you may be on to something. It may well be that civilization, itself, might be the problem, all along. Wherever you go, whatever you do power corrupts. Someone in every setting has to have the upper hand, the final say. Ot...

And it's time that we (The somewhat Civilized World) put a stop to his bullshit. I've never understood that type of statement... Who exactly are the 'civilised' ?? That is very clever and clearly can't be accidental. The Guardian says it implies "a Nigel-Farage-meets-Katie-Hopkins figure", which may well turn out to fit our current PM. I'm far too biased to say. I'm struggling to find a really good clip of the 'Farage meets Hopkins' figure but will ...

The clothes were interesting too, well done that person that picked up the fact she wore the exact same dress Emma Thompson wore in 'Years and Years'. Speaking as we were of HBO, I've just seen the first quarter hour of House of the Dragon. It has all the toe-curling script, flat direction and dead performance values of a Star Trek Fan production, how on earth did it ever get commissioned in the first place. I'm astonished.
