Hi from Kansas.
Hey strongflour, I work in Kansas in the insurance industry. I live on the Misery side though (KCMO, to be truthful and it is an awesome city). Wonder if we work for the same company. You work in JOCO?

<t>No I am not joking around...that routine I do was actually developed as a kind of confidence builder a while back...my doctor suggested I do something that would normally make me feel embarrased so that I can work past social anxiety...that's why I do it (sometimes).<br/> <br/> I think the pictur...

And that is the biggest problem with communism. There is no incentive to keep the economy in anything but a stasis - there is no incentive for growth. With no rewards for inovation or invention, why would someone even bother?

<t>Government does have a responsibility to create an environment that promotes economic growth, no doubt. If New York State corporate/business taxes are too high, then businesses will move out, and the economy will suffer. To create the right environment, the government has to keep its hands off th...

I once fell in love with a communist. That didn't work...she would take my paycheck and distribute it equally among her friends, and then told me to get back to work because it was good for our morale.

am I republican or democrat????????
<t>As for political party, I would not worry so much about that if you are unaffiliated. The important thing to do is to look at each candidate's positions and determine how you feel about them. There are pro-life democrats, there are Republicans who are for environmental conservation, ect. To pidge...

5 Reasons why America is great.
<t>I love America. I live here. But I have a couple beefs. I don't think that if I criticize something (like the war in Iraq), I should be labeled "unpatriotic" or worse, a "terrorist sympathizer". All Americans are in this together, and we should be able to criticize an action our country takes if ...

Wichita - it doesn't suck.
<t>I went to Wichita a few weeks ago for business. Wichita is in the state of Kansas, sorta smack dab in the middle. It is not a large metropolis. There are no subways, so if you like public transportation, Wichita may not be the best place to live. The earth is relatively flat in this area of the c...

Why I Live Where I Live
Insurance Fraud Investigator.
I look at the thefts that get reported to my insurance company, and talk with police and take recorded statements/interview insureds and witnesses and determine if they sound logical or if they have any red flags that require further investigation.
