Not yet. But I will be heading that way next summer. I love to go to haunted places. They kind of inspire me.

Heading there for our next holiday. We have done N. Wales and Cornwall so far. We have found many places that some would call haunted, but I tend to think of them as spiritual retentive. They are very old places. Even caught some orbs on camera!

My house is 110 years old and I have always felt a presence of an old lady, I suppose thats hardly suprising. It never felt anything but warm and friendly.

My last house was about 40 years old and I lived in it for about 25 years. I always felt a strong presence in the hallway , landing and staircase, an uncomfortable feeling. I didnt try to give myself any explanation just shrugged my shoulders and got on with things.

The day before we moved, we were chatting to our next door neighbour - the house was attached to ours- an old couple that had lived their since they had been built. Joan, the neighbour, said how much she would miss us and that it would be strange not to hear our dog clambouring up the stairs at 2 or 3 in the morning. My wife and i looked at each other in confusion. Our dog never came upstairs, the door to where he slept was always closed because he used to have a penchant for making himself comfortable on the sofa when we were out of the house. He never slept anywhere else, he was old (18 yrs old at that time) and didnt run anywhere, least of all up the stairs.

"Then it must be one of you" said Joan. Two of her bedrooms backed directly on to our staircase. Again we looked quizzical, it was a mistery to both me and my wife. "Maybe its a ghost you are hearing" I joked. We all giggled.

Joans husband came into the garden and confirmed the noise most nights. It was never loud enough to complain or even mention it before.

"Must be Mr ******, he died before you moved in "

"fell down the stairs and broke his neck just a few months before you moved in "

Sent a shiver up my back because we had never known, not in 25 years.

Needless to say I mentioned nothing to the young lady that bought the house from us
