Abortions - Federal or State to State

Abortion - I don't think the issue of abortion should've ever been in the Supreme Court.
I feel the right of a abortion should be a State Law - not Federal.

Some States now allow Gay marriage and some State don't, correct..?

What do you think - would abortions be better governed by a State Law ?
or should it stay Federal - dangling by who ever becomes President.?

    No poll??

I say let the voters decide, state by state. We need to trust the people to make decisions about society, not 9 judges appointed by politicians. Creating moral code and dictating societal mores is not the job of the Supreme Court. Their job is to examine existing law and decide on its constitutionality.

In Ontario, you have the right to have an abortion and that is the way it should be........for so many reasons............and its a personal choice.

And we also have gay and lesbian marriages legal here.
Life is just to short for drama.

I think that since this has to do with a human life it is already constitutionally decided, so it should remain a federal issue. Each child has the constitutionally protected right to life. No court in the land should ever decide against innocent life. The Roe ‘v’ Wade decision should have been overturned as unconstitutional. I don’t think you can compare the homosexual marriage issue to abortion; no one dies in the homosexual marriage issue.

Abortion is a federal issue, because it’s a constitutional issue.

One a side note: I must be absolutely crazy; I always seem to take the most unusual side to everything! This is my second poll and I am in the vast minority again.

    WHY????????????????????? a Federal issue HOSS

I stated Gay Marriage as a STATE to STATE example decision...

you have assisted suicide illegal in 49 states
but in Oregon it's perfectally legal WHY ?????????

Roe v Wade - unconstitutional HOW ???? and you want it to stay Federal?

your a minority all right - you sound confused

Our Constitution gives each of us the right to pursuit happiness, aborting a child is ending its right to pursue happiness. The federal government’s job is to uphold the constitution; since abortion is murdering the innocent, it’s unconstitutional under the grounds that it denies the right to pursue happiness for that individual.

It’s a federal matter now, and it should stay a constitutional federal matter until it is over turned.

It’s unconstitutional and it should have never been allowed in the first place, the Supreme Court was wrong to have upheld Roe Versus Wade in the first place. It is a political issue; they caved into creating law from the bench instead of upholding the constitution.
