The Real Purpose Of A Duvet

Duvets are certainly functional, come in a variety of styles and patterns, but I have come to the conclusion that their real purpose is to cover up a unmade bed. My mother never had duvets on her beds, when I was in the military we never had duvets. Hotels never have duvets, just the old fashion bed spreads. I'll bet that if you were to peek under the typical homeowners duvet you would find as I did, a pair of panties (knickers), a sock or two, a magazine, condoms, an apple & orange. All of these items are hidden from view with the duvet but would show a bulge with just a bed spread. I have come to the conclusion therefore, that neat and tidy people don't have duvets.
So, what do you think? Are you a neat and tidy person or do you use duvets to conceal your mess?

neat and tidy....bed is made 2 times a day here.

I get up in the morning.....bed is made

My husband gets up at night for work......bed is made for when I go to bed.

Our duvet is to keep us warm and for looks.

We have a nightmare with our bed. It's an American queen size, 7ft by 7ft and while that in it's self is great, getting bedding for it is very difficult. My brother buys me a set when he goes to New York but it's very difficult to get here.
Mr Oscar has to change the duvet cover as i just get in a temper with it and then find I've shoved the pup in there as well. Mr Oscar has very strict house rules. In our bedroom there is a no pet, no food, no ciggarettes, no drinks and no sex rule.

I use one and I'm neat.

there's nothing to hide, it's the only cover on the bed.
