    Forum Garden's Train of Thought

    This is the thread where it is acceptable to go "off-topic" as long as the subject is mentioned in the previous post. In this thread you can make an observation, or a statement, opinion, or state a fact and the next poster will take any word from you post and make his-her own statement, observation or fact. And so on...

    The train of thought, stream of thought, or chain of thought refers to the interconnection in the sequence of ideas expressed during a connected discourse or thought, as to well known as the sequence itself, especially in discussion how this sequence leads from one idea to another.

    An example:

    Post #1 We have a small tomato garden in our back yard. The tomatoes are still green, but growing. Hubby found a worm today on the vine and squashed it. But there may be others. We must be ever vigilant. We are looking forward to big red juicy tomatoes

    (Now the next poster can mention "tomatoes" or "worms" or "gardens"or "squash" .....anything that is mentioned in Post #1)

    Post#2 Chilled, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers are delicious. I know some serve them with vinegar as a summer salad.

    (Next poster can use any of the words from this post to make his her statement;
    "salad" "summer" vinegar" etc.

    Let's see where this Train of Thought takes us.

    I love vinegar. I just checked and it comes from barley...I never knew that

    I'll start:

    I'm here on my computer and also watching an old movie on the Fox Channel. It is "The Keys to the Kingdon" starring Gregory Peck 1944. In the movie, Gregory Peck's character has just aged 10 years. His hair has some gray hightlights in it, and he is wearing glasses, but..............he sure aged gracefully in the film. In real life, Mr. Peck was still a handsome man as an older gentleman.

    Hey Theia...............just saw your post! Welcome aboard.

    Is barley related to wheat? My sister moved and left me her cubboard and it contained a box of 'wheat salad'. Why that sounded at all interesting, I'll never know, but I mixed it up and tried it..

    I now know why she was so generous with her boxed goods.
    I expressly forbid the use of any of my posts anywhere outside of FG (with the exception of the incredibly witty 'get a room already' )posted recently.

    Boxed would prove a good score if played on a triple word in scrabble

    We had a terrific thunderstorm here yesterday evening and again in the night, and there was torrential rain causing flash floods on the other side of town! Roads became rivers! We had several strikes virtually overhead, made me jump out of my skin.......................................... I managed to jump back in though !

    There's nothing terrific about thunderstorms! Hate them. The current rain forecast for later tonight is not going to happen, I want to keep my shorts on and keep enjoying the sunshine!
