Best car I owned. I came home from being away for several months to my VW Bug (1971 model) being buried under all the plowed snow in the apartment complex parking lot (1978). People were having a hard time starting their cars because it was so cold. I dug my way to the car door, turned the key and that thing started right up. I dug a bit of the snow from the back of the car and maneuvered my way out to the eyes of all in the lot watching with envy and amazement.

We used to love making snow cream when I was a kid but I don't remember us being quite so precise with the ingredients. New Englanders certainly had the opportunity to make it this past weekend!
It's official ... I am sooooo ready for Spring now!!
Me Too!!!
It would have been a good winter if we had some sizable snow fall and a few days off...but this winter has been filled with wintery mix, high winds and up and down temps. My poor daffodils are almost in bloom and the temps here will be highs in the 40's (F) and lows in the 20's (F) for the next few days. My daffs have frost burn on them!!!
I know what you mean, Lady J! I planted some daffodil bulbs in some old jars about a month ago during the big freeze and put them in the kitchen window and on a counter top that gets sun most of the day. They started coming up fast and about 4 days ago I had one open, then another and several of them have buds not quite open yet. It's been fun to get a little head start on spring!
