Oh my god, I feel sick to my stomach. I can't fathom why someone would think doing this was a good idea.

A 20 year old was the father of one of the children in school?

It's a sad, sick world we leave in. Back when I was in school, my parents never had to worry I'd be shot in school. Now they would probably scared every time I went.

Re: Children killed in school shooting

I burst into tears. The happiest time of my life was when my son was little. Going to the school, participating with the kids, chaperoning kids on class trips--I was so happy there were times I thought my heart would burst from the joy & cuteness. To think of the parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. of those children killed, & the agony they are in now; the disbelief--I can hear them screaming. This is overwhelming. There is no way to stop the hurt.

I have nothing to say yet about the murderer. It seems he killed his father in New Jersey, his mother in one of the classrooms, & possibly a brother as well. The police as yet don't know if the brother they have in custody is involved, there is a dead brother in the school.

The terror the children were put through before death is unforgivable. Terrible shocking horrible event.

At first it was reported the shooter was Ryan Lanza, 24, but it turns out to be his brother, Adam, age 20, who was the killer.
