    Cool Hello everybody

    Hello you all,
My name is Lucy and I just wanted to say Hi as a new Member!
To work in my garden makes me happy and is a great hobby for me.
At the moment I want to enlarge my garden with new plants and herbs...
It clears my mind and is a good change after a stressful work day!
I also love to be outside in the nature.

I just signed up to get some tips or inspiration for my garden.

    Love & Greetings

It sounds like you'll slot in here just fine. We've got quite a few who are into their gardens. Not me, unfortunately. Living in a Tower Block, the only 'garden' I have is a Baby Bath that I keep by the window in my kitchen.

You should have a word with Oscar. She's sure to have plenty of stuff for your roses.

    Re: Hello everybody

I've only done the gardening thing like four years now. Every year I find the things that don't do well for me and that which does.

This year was really good for cucumbers, cantaloupes, honeydew, potatoes. I suspect watermelon would have done well but due to work I didn't plant any.

Even in good years I struggle with tomatoes. This year lost several plants due to frost and have one left, still producing.

In the past had terrible luck with cilantro, lettuce and broccoli.

Off all things corn has been disappointing.

I have two neighbors who are big time gardeners who are full of advice.

I plan to really expand my garden next year and spend more time not working.

Gosh, it would be awful pleasin'

I miss not being able to garden. Loved to dig in dirt, plant stuff, see it grow.

What I really like is that I grow way more than we can consume. It gives me some joy in giving away tasty stuff.

This year we had luck with almost everything we've planted: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, potatoes, rhubarb, bunch of herbs like every year (except chives, because of evil cats ) and a lot of berries.
Watermelon could be interesting, I should try it!

I'm also planning to expand my garden and also build up a bigger greenhouse. Enough space would be there

Good to know, if I need advice I ask you and you ask your neighbours.

    Have a nice day!

My nephew plants a sizeable garden of veggies every year. on a plot of about 40' by 150' they end up with loads of stuff. Peppers, squash, Corn, Tomatoes, Beans, and such. Usually, they end up hauling a lot down to the food bank. Though, this year, the Rac****s have been raiding the corn. Me, I'm lucky to keep a couple of houseplants alive.
