    Hijacking my own thread, I'm afraid. But remembering Tim Leary is much less nervewracking than thinking about political trolls.

    Back in the 70s I wrote a song to Timothy Leary. It was during a dark time when it was rumored that he had turned state's evidence in order to win his own freedom from prison. It went something like this (actual words and music are long lost -- it didn't go viral or anything).

    "I always wanted to write a song to my patron saint,
    But now it seems the time has come; and now a saint he ain't.
    Tim Leary! Tim Leary! Why?

    I remember when I was in highschool,
    You had got busted and thrown in jail,
    I remember kids across the country,
    Gave their lunch money to raise your bail...

    That's about all I remember.

    They tell me that senile dementia is only a passing stage. But they refuse to say when I will get over it.
